We recently signed Mr. Z up for the soccer. This will be his second year playing soccer. But it will be his first year playing with the real league. I think calling it a league is a loose term. How much can you do with a 4 years old. Anyway, I have 13 things that we need for his soccer game.
1. Soccer shoes
2. Shin Guard
3. Socks
4. Soccer ball
5. Team jersey
6. Sunscreen
7. Water bottle
8. Lawn chairs with umbrella
9. Snacks
10. More snacks
11. Camera
12. Games for sibling
13. Juice or Capri Sun after the game

chin guard or shin guards?
Never seen a chin guard in soccer but you never know. Open wallet mom. Happy TT.
Hope you'll stop by my T13a @ The Cafe at the END of the Universe & The Library at the END of the Universe.

hehe.. You got me. Thanks!
long list huh?
GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's a league for 4 year olds? I had no idea.
Soccer is an amazing dedication of... the parents mostly! ;) You are very kind to support your son in this way!
Isn't it amazing how much stuff kids need for all their activities and such.
You can see my TT at http://www.besthomeschoolplace.com and leave a link there!
Good list. The umbrella is key.
Though it's nothing compared to the amount of equipment needed for football or ice-hockey, but still it sounds as if you had to pack a huge trunk to be prepared ;)
Happy TT and greets
Julia
I would have to have that list somewhere as a checklist before each game. I like how prepared you are - everyone stays happy. :)
Wow, what a list! Who knew so many things were needed? Happy TT!
Can I just say I'm scared of soccer? I'm not looking forward to organized sports and spending the weekends running around going to practices, games, more practices, more games...Selfish I know, but eek!
@Alice Audrey - Yes. They do start young. But at least it's more for fun than serious game. They just want them to learn and get used to the ball. It is so cute.
@Claudia - I'm trying but I will have to say that once they get older and need more practice times (like three times a week) I might not be so supportive. Selfish.. I know..
@BusyMamas Kellie - I am the same way. At least for now, it's just once a week on Friday. I don't know what I will do once he gets older and require more practice. I don't really want to live on the soccer field every evening.
-Amy @ The Q Family
And when he gets older, you'll need the strength of mind to survive 2 practices a week and 1 game.
Per kid!
Don't forget #14. Cheerleader outfit for Amy!
The list gets longer once you start coaching, which my husband does (2 teams)...double the fun!
